A bit about me...
I've had the honor of practicing as a psychotherapist for over 25 years. In my experience, chronic and excessive anxiety is currently the biggest barrier to growth and well-being. I really enjoy helping people learn the difference between natural anxiety and excessive or pathological anxiety. There are so many concepts and practices I get to share with people to help them to understand their anxiety better so they can feel more ease, connection and joy in their lives. I believe we treat ourselves, each other and our world better when we are less afraid.
I received my Clinical training at The Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center in the 1990s. My graduate degree is from the University of Maryland-Baltimore and my undergraduate is from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. I am also longtime yoga practitioner. I understand the connectedness of body, mind, and spirit. I am a certified Kripalu yoga instructor and occasionally teach classes. I also taught Graduate courses at the University of Wisconsin-Madison in The School of Social Work for nearly 10 years.
